The Brake Knob for Olympus is a knob located on the side of the endoscope’s operating section/control handle, used to lock or release the angle of the endoscope’s distal bending section.

After the doctor bends the endoscope tip to a specific position by rotating the up/down and left/right angle knobs, tightening this Brake Knob locks the wire, thus fixing the position of the tip and freeing the doctor hands.
